Hi Courtney!

Stopping in to see what you've done lately!  Looks like you have been super busy!  I like the CD you put together for your guests....quite an eclectic mix!  Will you be included in the case an explanation of why each song is important to you/the meaning of why it was included?

Hope your dad's job search goes well!

Kristy, I'm sorry to say, but Andrew is in a dream world!  It was very nice this weekend, but yesterday & today were cold...brrr....

Here are some photos of the CD case & the cute stickers that I bought for our OOT bags (those are not our names on the sticker):

Those are cute!  Woman, shouldn't you be teaching?!  Is this your prep period or something?  I'm in prep right now.

Hi bluii12,

love reading your journal. Your ideas sound great and you got done so many things already. The CD sound great and is quite a good mix of differnet styles. I also love the paper cones with the tossing patels. If you don't mind I would like to do something similar for my wedding. Really loved the idea.

I hope everything is going well with you dad and his job search. Trust me, evrything will work out somehow.

Have a great day Leni

I don't get around to "hollerin' back" too often, but thanks to Dizzy_Girl, Hoodlims, Leni & Cantwaittomarry for stopping by - it's nice to know that some people are actually reading my journal from time to time.

I was home "sick" on Thursday, and spent the majority of the day working on creating a map for my invites & programs in Microsoft PowerPoint.  Thanks to calohigirl, I figured it out.  Thanks Ginna!  Here it is:

I got my friend to design the monogram for my paper products & aisle runner.  Here is what we've decided on:

Today I ventured to Paper Source in Evanston & purchased all of my DIY invite products.  (www.paper-source.com).  Of course, I completely changed what I wanted to do as soon as I got in the store, but here is the general idea:

But, mine will have a square folder (approximately 5 x 5) in a shimmery metallic red.  The other cards are ivory and I'll have 2 stacked cards (instead of the 3 here) secured in place by a champagne-colored flat organza ribbon that will be strung through the paper & tied into a bow.  The bow will be the front of the invite, so the picture below should actually be flip-flopped (i.e. layered cards on the left panel, with formal invite page on the right).  The RSVP card is the size of a small postcard, and we'll design it as such so it doesn't require an envelope.

And, my cousin is doing all of my floral pieces for my SD wedding.  She had her own wedding last night, and she did a really great job with her own florals!  They completely set the ambience for the whole room.  Every table had something different & each table also had different varities of arrangements on them.  Here are some photos (completely different colors & types of flowers than what she'll do for me, but aren't these cool?)

I also got this great referral for bridal shower gifts...Lather with Love. The person that recommended Rachel (the owner I presume) said that she almost cried when she opened the box & saw how much attention & detail had been given to the creation of these small gifts!  She said that you can tell Rachel is proud of her products!   www.latherwithlove.com For $6.00 each, you will get a custom-made 1/2 bar of soap (made with all natural ingredients) with a personalized label and wrapped up like this:

Hope that wedding planning is going well for everyone else!  Check back soon!
