hey that's cool that you are a teacher. i am starting full time student teaching on the 17th. i am just finishing up the integrated credential program, and still have to pass the math section on the CSET. uhhhhhhhhh. I saw you were writing about an IEP and i was like cool, i know what that is because i had to sit through one and write a gazillion page paper on it. i've been working in elementary classrooms since i was in high school. just nice to see a fellow teacher out there, even though i am not quite one yet!

garednprincess--keep it up...you will love teaching!  I love it, but lately I have been wondering if I can do it for another thirty years!!!

BM dress update---Rosie called me from Bridal and Veil and she said that she had talked to the owner of the company and that the dresses WERE discontinued, BUT she can still get them for me, but they would be $30 more AND the dresses would have to be ordered in the next two weeks!!!!!!!  HOLY CRAP!!!!  My stepmom thinks it's worth it, but not all my BMs are rolling in $$$$$$!  The dress would be $183 Plus tax!  Then i would have to send it to those who weren't in town.....I think we will make an appt to go there this saturday and see how it looks on a couple of them and then see if we want those or want to keep looking!  I don't want them to spend an arm and a leg!  I even thought about paying for half!

Good ----I GOT ALL MY BMs!!!!!!!  I was so focused on thinking about asking friends that I forgot to think about family!  I asked my cousins wife ( I was in thier wedding 10years ago!)  and she said yes and was very excited!!!!!  So now i have all six!

Hi Bubbles!

Welcome to the journaling addiction! I just got caught up on your journal and wow, the Aventine is beautiful. I'm so happy you got it and it's all working out. And your bridesmaid dilemma, woohoo! My FI wanted 5 Groomsmen and I wanted 3, but luckily I just love his sisters and wanted to include them on my side. whew! Can't forget about the family! lol

When are you done with your Masters? I saw you had written earlier that you had to finish your project?  Teachers are awesome. I'm surrounded by them. I'm marrying one, my brothers wife was one before she had kids, and one of my best friends is one as well. Not to mention my FSIL, cousins and other family members. lol...hooray!

Congratulations! Looking forward to meeting you on the 4th!

Hey, Bubbles! Glad to hear you have all your BMs set but sorry to hear about the expensive dresses!  That is so nice of you to offer to pay for half, but maybe you can find a similar dress style for cheaper? It's also difficult if you have to order them like ASAP so if you find something else that gives you more of an option it might be easier on you and your BMs. Keep us posted!

Thanks Sofeeuh and megngim!!!!  We are going to meet at 10:30 today at Bridal and Viel...fingers are crossed that we either like the dress or find something just as nice at 2/3 the cost!!!!!!

One little rant before I get in the shower-------The Rehearsal Dinner is becoming a frickin' circus!!!!!   My dad has reserved the University Club private room, which can hold a max of 60 people....but with the wedding party and their SO's and the sponsors and their SO's and then the out of town guests...etc.....my dad is getting irritated and saying stuff like, 'Why don' t you just have the Rehearsal Dinner be the wedding reception then?!"  Oiiiiiiii!  FI has flat out said that we are not cutting anyone out...which I am fine with! And my dad knows that FIL's (or we) are going to pay for it. so it's not a money thing....I think it's a slight culture clash, actually!!!!  I hope I don't have to find another venue for the RD because  it  is a pain to find another venue that is as nice as the one we have and I was hoping to keep the RD at least a little initimate!

I will have to do an acutal count today.........gotta get going!

Awww...I just caught up on your journal and your emergency kit purse was so sweet. Your dad sounds really thoughtful. I'm sorry to hear about the RD stress. The University Club looks really nice. I hope everyone can fit!

Good luck with your BM dresses today - it's good to hear that you got your BMs figured out. I think it's funny that dress manufacturers actually discontinue dresses.  It's like they discontinue it just in time to upset us and try to get us to pay more, only to put out darn near the same dress the following spring (when of course by that time we're married and could care less). Sorry...I'm ranting in your journal - good luck with the dresses, and have a great time hanging out with your BMs!

Always...thanks!  Feel free to rant in my journal anytime!  I agree with you!

I am very worried!  My MOH didn't show and didn't answer at home or cell....I am hoping she forgot, which she NEVER does, so it would be alright....but I hope nothing has happend!!!!

We had two of the BMs (sister and cousin) try on the dress and it looked good (better when we accessorize!)  And then we went to another shop behind Chilis and looked there....but we all agreed the one we found first was the best!  Now if I could just get a pic of it!!!!!!

What happened with your MOH?  I hope nothing happened for you and her too!

On another note, what grade do you teach?  I'm a HS teacher myself & finished my M.Ed. last year.  In the somewhat near future (2+ years), my FI (DH then) and I will be moving to California (from Chicago), and I'm going to have to figure out how the CA credential / licensing thing works.  It seems confusing!

Thanks for asking about my MOH!

She forgot!!!!  Honestly, I think it is hilarious!  She called me when she and her daughter (flowergirl) got home and apologized and then called back and asked if we could go to the shop...so we did!  She loved the dress AND I think we found a dress for Chloe (flower girl)!!!!  I will post them both after I email the photos to myself from my phone!  We had a very nice afternoon!  Then we went to their house and had dinner, I read a book with Chloe (I call her Chloeth! ) and then they took me home!  A much better day than staying at home and cleaning and studying!

Also, Blui2  I teach a primary Special Day Class....I love it, but it is exhuasting!!!!!  Look up the credentialing criteria on the California Commision on Teacher Credentialing Website....you can google it and it should come up!
