How to add images to your post:

You can upload images two ways:

  1. Use forum codes to post an image that appears on another website.
  2. Upload images from your computer.

See the next two posts in this thread for directions on how to post images using these two methods.

Directions on how to use forum codes to post an image that appears on another website.

  1. Find the URL to the picture you want to include in your post.  To do this, go the web page that the image appears on.  Right click on the image and choose "Properties". Copy the Address (URL) of the image.  It will start with "http://" and will end with the file name of the picture, which will be something like "XYZ.gif", "XYZ.jpg", "XYZ.jpeg" or "XYZ.png".  For security reasons, those are the only four types of files that can be posted on our discussion board.  If the URL does not end in a filename like the ones explained above, then it cannot be posted using forum codes.

  2. Now that you have copied the address, go back to the discussion board and type the following into your post:

    [ IMG ] paste filename here [ /IMG ]

Where it says "paste filename here", paste the URL to the image that you want to post.

Visit the page below for more help with forum codes:

  3. That's it - you are done!  Post your message and your images should appear in your post.

Directions on how to upload an image from your computer

  1. Make sure that the image you want to upload is saved on your computer as a JPG, JPEG, GIF or PNG file and is less than 100KB in size.  You can check the size of a file by right clicking on the file and selecting "Properties".  If your file is larger than 100KB, then you must resize it so that it is smaller.  For best results, images should be no larger than 350 pixels wide at 100dpi resolution.

  2. Now that you have the file saved to your computer, go back to the discussion board and click on the icon of a tree with an arrow pointing up.

  3. Click the "Browse" button in the window that pops up and locate the image that is saved on your computer.  Either double-click the filename or click it once, then click the "open" button.

  4. Press the "OK" button.

  5. Press the "OK" button in the box that pops up.

  6. Once the image has been uploaded, it should appear in your message that you are posting.

  7. That's it - you are done!  Post your message and your images should appear in your post.

I'm trying to upload a .JPG from Photoshop of my invitation that transferred from Illustrator. Do I need to do something special when I'm saving in Photoshop to make sure people can see it? I've made a small size so it could upload, so I doubt that is the problem. Please help!

Thank you in advance!
