I'm so excited! DH and I booked a Carnival Cruise for our one year anniversary. We figure we better travel while we can before we start having kids.

We are going to Mexcio - Cabo, Mazatlan and La Paz. I've been to Cabo and Mazatlan but not La Paz so I'm excited because I hear it's beautiful.

Anyone been on Carnival lately? I hear good and bad reviews. When I went on a cruise when I was 20, it was great! And we were on Carnival. Hoping I don't gain 10 pounds though! LOL

We did a Carnival cruise this past summer to Cabo, Mazatlan & Puerto Vallarta- we had a great time!  You might get lucky since you're going in April and have a smaller # of younger passengers (although, it is spring break for many during that time as well).  I think that was the big annoyance/frustration for us- kids who ran amok on the ship b/c their parents didn't keep an eye on them.

Anyway, if you do a search here, I did a mini-review on our trip, so that might be helpful on getting some feedback about Carnival.  The one thing that I would definitely advise as soon as you get on the ship is to book @ least 1 night in their fine dining restaurant- you pay extra (I think ours was $30/person), but the food is excellent and it's a really nice change from the main dining areas.  They do tend to book quickly from what I hear, so it's best to do that first.

Have a fabulous time!

Are you on the one leaving out of San Diego the 8th?  Sandy is on that one too.
