Which would you pick?  These are my final two choices and I'm really struggling even though I know that they are very different.  We would have both the ceremony and reception there.

I have to admit that I'm not that familiar with La Valencia, but I just think
that the Prado, and the Balboa park in general, is the most beautiful place
in town. IIt was my top choice, but didn't work for us number-wise.

These are my two top choices as well. We are going with LV, haven't booked it yet though. LV is a little small, but has a great ocean view. Very old world charmy. Go there at night and check it out. It is very calm and twinkling and you can hear the ocean. I want to cut my guest list to less than 100 so we can fit in there comfortably. The reception areas at the Prado were not working out for us. Both places have a spanish feel to them. Have you visited them? I have spent quite a bit of time at both. 4 times at LV in like 1-2 months. Obsessive I know!

If you can, go to lunch at the Prado and see how you feel about noise from airplanes.
