Since the flu has found its way around the board, I thought it was time to ask this question.

Have fun ladies!

Hmmm...I'm not sure...its kinda none of the above. I suck it up and most of the time just want to be left alone. I'm cranky when i get sick since I don't get sick that often. Its the same with my FI, most of the time he just want to be left along but once and a while he likes me to baby him...he'll even give me the pouty look hehe!!

I totally have the immunity gene!  I guess thats the benefit of working in day care.  Being around snotty, runny noses and such for the last 15 years really helps boost my immunity.

But the downside of that is that I bring home all my germs to FI.  He has been sick for a month.  He isnt a whiner either, which makes it really hard, because he tries to be so brave, and I just feel so bad for making him sick.  Hopefull he recovers before the wedding!

I have to totally break it down:

Me- I'm the mommy, therefore I don't usually get sick but when I do OMG!!!! I want to die. I have never been sent home from work until last week. I got it bad. Then I just "suck it up".

FI- NEEDS HIS MOMMY!!!! I have to remind him to drink (2 sips), eat, and of course he wants to snuggle all the time. Great get me sick again.

Marc (my son 7): he is the superman! He hates being sick so he just ignores it. I need to strap him to the bed to get some sleep.

Katy (daughter 4): WANTS TO SLEEP ON THE FLOOR. That is how we know she's sick. She is a trooper too. She would constantly ask for her "bucket". Poor baby.

I'd say that when either of us is sick, the healthy one takes care of the
sick one and gives them lots of TLC... but mostly the sick one just wants
to be left alone to recover.

Speaking of which, I've have had nonstop migraines since really getting
into wedding planning (and yeah, I definitely get the connection -- it's
not that I'm worried about the marriage, but the wedding details are really
stressing me out). It's a killer. Has anyone else out there had a problem
like this?

Elinor-I don't get migraines all that often, but when I do I just check out completely. I had bad one a few weeks ago and was in bed with the blinds down for almost 2 days. It was horrible. If you feel one coming on, Excedrin Migraine works alright-definitely better than Advil or other painkillers, though I don't know that it is better than regular Excedrin.

Frequent migraines are definitely something you should talk to your doctor about. For me, talking to my doctor helped me to  learn to pay attention to my warning signs and identify when I am about to get a migraine.

HTH!

Soontobe - have you tried the Advil Migrane? It comes in liquid gels and man do they work FAST! I have the problem of being immune to most pain killers (I kept dislocating my knee in high school and other abuses to my body because of sports) so I have to take about 3 or 4 Advils and that works for me.

Elinor: speaking from experience (i've had migarines since 2nd grade, Im 25 now) I done it all (ct-scan, trigger foods, etc.) to see why I have them. BIG factors the effect me (everyone is different) that you might want to look out for is, 1.How often you eat, if it's been a long time since my last meal instant headache, 2 Stress obviously and 3 that time of the month. Just some suggestions at things you might want to look at maybe you can prevent (#1 & #2)
