hey MsSilverios! yay for booking a cruise! we're not sure what we're going to do for our HM yet but a caribbean cruise is definitely on our list of things to check out!

for linens, you should go to the bridal bazaar.. they always end up having great promos there. also have you checked out concepts party rentals? haydee is great and she has very competitive prices (still expensive, but better!)

i'll try and post some pics of the barongs my FI got from my dad. they're ivory but they're actually a lot thicker, so you don't need an undershirt! i know your dad wants a more traditional look though.. but i'll try to post a pic tonight to give you some ideas...

I love the barongs! Very nice.

And hooray for the cruise! You'll have a wonderful time. I stopped at Grand Cayman and Cozumel on a cruise last year-they are both great. Cozumel had fabulous scuba/snorkeling.

Hey ladies,

I had my makeup trial with Mara the Brow Queen (619) 521-1350 today.
It's airbrushed, and the cost of the trial goes towards the day of. I really
liked the makeup, and I'm a total minimalist (usually none). My skin
looked flawless. Because I'm wearing a strappless gown, she airbrushed
all the way down to my shoulders, but despite the stuff she used to set it
it still got on the inside of my shirt. It should be fine day of because I'll be
in my gown and not a T shirt, but I still think I'm going to have her go
higher than the trial. Also, we finally took some save the dates in a black
and white photo booth, and the blush looked a little intense. She used a
darker shade to do some contouring then highlighed with blush, which
was nice but maybe pushing it for me. The eyes were great, she asked
what my wedding colors were and picked colors that would compliment. I
loved the lipstick color too, and the selant she used worked for the initial
smoochies... but not the non-diet junkfood I ate later
Here are some pics...

After a day of carne asada burritos, chai lattes, nachos, and monster
trucks, this is how things looked. Prettymuch everything but the lipstick
stayed put, so I'll have to get my own tube.

There's only so much makeup can do by the end of the night

sofeeuh,

I think we decided to make the swing dance a farewell dance, and I'll run
off
and change into that JCrew dress I got and maybe better shoes. That way
I
think I can enjoy most of the night in my dress. Haven't been in for
alterations yet, so if Lorraine can work some magic to keep my dress
"contained" we might still do it as the first dance.

consi and itsmars,

Yay for cruises! Everyone I've told has had wonderful thinks to say about
the Carribean and cruises in general. I think I'm (almost) a little more
psyched about the cruise because we won't have to worry about anything.
Except hurricanes (::knocks on cheap particleboard desktop::).

Ms Silverios - you make-up looks great! Your skin looks sooooo smooth. And, you looked fabulous at the end of the day - that is the true sign of some good make-up.   I love the idea of a cruise in the carribean too. Just the sound of it makes me feel more relaxed. Good luck with your upcoming planning - you'll have to share your save the dates, they sound really cute!

for the dance. And that make-up looks great! Your skin looks amazing and

Man, I've been away FOR-EV-ER (picture the kid from the Sandlot here).
Things are actually really good, lots of things done is the past week or so.
But I got really busy with work... testing is coming up for my kiddies and
there's a lot of b.s. going on there too. Anyway, like I was saying, LOADS of
great stuff that I'll share with everyone soon, just kinda fell of the planning
bandwagon there for awhile. Thanks for asking though consi! Hope things
are great with you!
