$150 is what I was quoted for the dance floor before-what a relief!  I can also get to 976 a little early to put some tables together since I just live up the street!

I need to call about the rehearsal...

I was wondering if anybody has been dealing with Marilyn. I've tried to set up an appointment to meet with her to choose my menu but she'd prefer me to call and do it over the phone. I don't particularly like that idea and would rather do it in person just in case I had any questions and would like to get everything in writing. Has anyone had a problem with this as well? Thanks.

I am dealing with Marilyn too. She is really super nice and has a bubbly personality, but the poor lady is way too overloaded. There receptionist left and the millitary told them she won't be replaced.

FI and I did have a meeting but the millitary is asking them to keep the meetings to 30 minutes and we found we are having to change our menu with her over email anyway. I think you should call her with your list of questions and then email her what you want to do as far as menu goes. If you do end up being able to meet with her, you'll be rushed anyway. If you're on the phone - you won't have a time constraint. I know it seems weird but from what I hear from other OV brides.. the day of will be perfect. They really know what they're doing.

Question (I emailed Rose the question a few days ago, but never heard back)---

If we end up getting one of their catering packages that includes champagne, but we want to bring in our own champagne, would they give us some sort credit for the champage that comes with the package?  Or we just be paying extra for it?

More questions --- thanks to sunnysd for sending me the catering brochure!  Now I'm super confused!

*How flexible are the wedding packages?  Like for example, there are only 3 entrees listed to choose from (for sit-down), can another entree be used instead of those without an extra charge?

*If you do not want something that is included in the particular package (i.e. the one hour host wine bar sounds AWFUL! Chablis and Blush wine???), can you subtract it and direct a credit towards something else?

*Toast & Cheer Package --- It seems a little ambiguous.....what is NOT included in this package that IS included in the Wedding Package?   Is the service charge included or no?  How about the bar set up fee?  How about the linens, etc?

*Does anyone else think the appetizers sound like they should be served a SuperBowl party?

Another question!

With the "Wedding Package" is any bartender time included, or is it all separate?

Hi Katie, I know some of the answers but not all. For the champagne, I wanted to bring in Wilson Creek's Almond Champagne. She told me it would be extra, no substitution or credit. She gave me the idea to only bring in a few bottles for the family and WP if I have to have it but want to save on cost.

About the wedding package food. It didn't list the Napa chicken which was the best chicken from the tasting we went to. I asked her if we could have it instead and even though she hadn't heard of it, she said we could do that as long as Kidd had it since it's the same caterer. Luckily, I had my food list from that tasting so I could prove that Kidd had it. So it sounds like you can substitute other items.

I am also a little confused as to the difference between Toast & Cheer and the wedding packages. When I was there, Rose steered me toward the wedding package to get the most bang for my buck. I know it includes the hosted blush and chablis and the service fee, but not sure what else. Possibly one bartender fee too.

We should discuss these more on Sunday at our GTG. Then we can post the answers here for other brides.

jmorton24 - yeah, I did my spreadsheet on costs for each package and the wedding package is a pretty good deal. I'll make sure to make printouts for Sunday. If anyone can't go- just PM me and I'll email it to you.
