Wedding is less than 7 months away and I still don't have my gown!!!  I just can't seem to find the one and with my schedule I honestly don't have a lot of time.

There's one that I kind of like but when I looked at the tag it said 100% polyester.  Is this a bad thing?  I thought gowns were suppose to be made of silk or satin.  I'm just so ready to settle for it because I'm tired of looking.

if you like it and it's in your budget, and it's polyester then go for it! who's gonna know but you, right? it may not be the most luxurious gown but if it's what you want then it's what you want. where have you looked, if i can ask?

don't settle! you'll find one!!! i had a hard time dress shopping, too. then i got to the point where i just started trying on ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. i ended up picking a dress that was completely opposite of what i had been trying on at all the other stores. don't rule any style out until you tried it!

Don't feel bad.  You'll know when you have found the one.  I just recently ordered my dress and I am getting married in June so don't sweat it.

You've still got plenty of time

I would suggest narrowing down the little aspects you like about dresses.....what shape, material, lace, beading, embelishments, minimalism?  You can also think about how your wedding overall is going to be like and what type of dress would fit the theme/atmosphere.  These can be done without having to go to boutiques and try on dresses.

I think the key is narrowing down the selection, then you have a better idea of what you are looking for in the first place.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Mine is polyester and I think it looks nice. No one is going to know or
care.

Almost all gowns you find in the wedding shops are going to be polyester, or else a lot of money. It you want real silk you can always have it made. Mine was pure silk and real chantilly lace (at $200 a meter!). I had it made and ended up with a perfectly tailored dress for around $500. I would definitely explore that option if you can't find exactly what you want, and if you want it in silk. Depending on how intricate you want your dress, you could actually end up paying less than a polyester dress from a wedding shop!

I know how you're feeling. I dont want to settle. Like many of the ladies have already said and they've told me this too, don't settle! keep on looking and you'll eventually fall in love with one. You'll be fine!

Try Neiman Marcus if you have an huge budget... or at least to help you
decide on styles you like. They are so great at recommending that. Also
try Here Comes the Bride.. they have some great gowns. If you want
something simple, try Nicole Miller in La Jolla.
